When I was in high school, I had black fungus in my meals almost every other day. I don’t really like black fungus but I don’t know, at that time, I had to eat what was being served at home.

Black fungus is not bad if it’s cut in small strips but I think I have had my quota of black fungus already and don’t want to take more of it if I could help it!

Still, here is a very appetizing meat dish. It’s a little spicy so if you are not someone who could take spicy food, do take care with the amount of sambal belacan.

Today is Moon Festival, also known as Mooncake Festival or its proper term, Mid-Autumn Festival, her in the East. it is just too bad that I do not have any mooncake recipes in my Recipe Collection. At least I don’t recall having any since I am not going to search through all my recipes. I have stacks and stacks of them!

Anyway, since we are speeding towards the end of the year, it’s a good time to publish more Chinese New Year recipes. I don’t know about you, but once we enter autumn, the rest of the months seem to zoom by and soon, Chinese New Year will be upon us.

So, without further ado, here is another recipe of fine Chinese gourmet dining. It’s none other than the Herbal Chicken. Chinese just love adding herbs to their dishes but I guess I am not your typical Chinese. I hate herbal food as they give me a nasty headache!

By the way, the following recipe of Herbal Chicken serves six to eight persons.
